Fresh off a shoot and back in New Zealand between projects, Aaron will walk us through a selection of sequences, unpacking how he and his team approached them from both a creative and technical perspective. War Machine is a large-scale, action-driven production, and Aaron will speak to the realities of shooting at that level, from prep through to execution, and the collaboration required across departments to bring it together.
Aaron is one of New Zealand’s leading cinematographers, with credits spanning The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Evil Dead Rise, and Sweet Tooth. He also currently serves as President of NZCS, making this a great opportunity to connect with him while he’s briefly back on home ground.
The session will be super casual and conversational, where we'll watch a few sequences and then open up for a Q & A. We’ll also kick things off first with drinks and pizza before moving into the presentation so everyone has a chance to socialise first.
WHEN: Wednesday 13 May. Doors open 5.30 PM for drinks and pizza. Presentation starts 6.30 PM WHERE: Department of Post, Auckland
