Softdrop designer makes flying visit

The cityscape backdrop at last year's awards got a huge round of applause for its convincing  transition from day, through twilight, to night.

This year, thanks to Rosco, this year's backdrop promises to be another stunning display - in a completely different style.

At this afternoon event you'll meet the designer Phil Greenstreet and find out how it all works.  Phil is the technical and creative force behind Rosco backdrops. He is flying in from California for a visit around the NZCS Awards.    

Phil holds a technical Oscar and and Engineering Emmy for the original vinyl day/night Roscolite and he is Rosco’s primary backdrop stills and motion-plate photographer.

In the, half-hour session, he will show us how technology works, and how to quickly and efficiently light for a completely convincing transition. He'll also show how to plan and shoot your images for maximum effect.
