The NZCS is excited to announce a unique event between acclaimed cinematographers DJ Stipsen NZCS, Bevan Crothers NZCS and Chris Watkins. A hybrid presentation talk, and practical demo of Reel Factory’s Volume Wall in operation. Thursday 30th July, 6.00pm-9.30pm, Auckland.
Bevan & DJ will break down their own episodes of Time Bandits, detailing their experience of creating specific world environments from a cold full-snow set to a sandy desert. With insights into the technicals of matching lighting, blocking and the creative choices they made.
Award winning cinematographer Chris Watkins has made a career of pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with ever-evolving technologies. Chris will take us through a live demo of the Volume Wall technology, process and how it can be used as a powerfully creative tool.
Hosted at Reel Factory’s cutting-edge studio environment with a dressed set, and active moving cameras under the direction of Chris and Creative Technology. The set-up will feature and showcase the versatility of filming on a Volume Wall.
WHEN: Thursday 30th July. Doors open 6pm for drinks and pizza. Presentation starts 7pm.
