WEBINAR: DP and Camera Operators

A good camera operator is an ace up the sleeve for a Cinematographer/DP. A strong collaboration between these two can enhance the visuals and bring the story to life effortlessly, while poor communication and difference of opinion or interpretation will complicate things.

Other than panning and tilting, what is the role of an operator on set, where do they fit into the camera department structure? What is expected of the Operator from the DPs perspective? Where is the cross-over in these roles and where is the line not to cross?

We will sit down with a panel of DPs and Operators to discuss these questions and how best to collaborate while serving the story and the Director's vision.
